Entry Requirements:
(1) have a Hong Kong bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in digital and social media marketing, advertising, communication, marketing, or related discipline;
(2) have at least five years of relevant work experience [Note 1] in digital and social media marketing, branding, advertising, marketing or related fields;
(3) meet the minimum language proficiency requirements, i.e. “Level 2” results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese (UC) and Use of English (UE)) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent [Note 2];
(4) have good interpersonal communication and presentation skills; and
(5) be conversant with digital marketing trends, social media and promotional work.

Note 1:
(a) Relevant work experience refers to full-time work experience. Work experience of part-time job, internship, freelance or voluntary work will NOT be considered.
(b) Applicants with the relevant work experience should clearly indicate in detail the “Position Held” and the “Nature of Work” under “Employment Record” of the on-line application (G.F. 340) by using the G.F. 340 On-line Application System at the Civil Service Bureau’s website (http://www.csb.gov.hk).
Note 2:
(a) Level 5 or above in Chinese Language of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UC paper of the CRE. Level 5 or above in English Language of the HKDSEE is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE.
(b) Grade C or above in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UC paper of the CRE. Grade C or above in Use of English of the HKALE or in English Language of the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level) is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE.
(c) An overall band of 6.5 or above with no subtest score below band 6 obtained in the same sitting in the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) within the two-year validity period of the test is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE. The IELTS test result must be valid on any date during the application period (i.e. from 10 February to 16 March 2026).
Duties:
Duties of the Brand Executive will include the following aspects for the Brand Hong Kong Management Unit under the Information Services Department:
(1) assist in implementation of digital and social media campaigns and offline media placements, including media planning and creative production for international and Chinese Mainland markets, and liaise with external agencies for campaign execution;
(2) assist in the development and coordination of master plans of social media posts across all platforms, and handle post issuance and paid push on social media platforms;
(3) support creative production, including videos, print and outdoor advertisements, and online banners for brand campaigns and project promotions;
(4) handle enquiries from Government offices outside Hong Kong; and
(5) undertake any other duties as assigned by senior officers including assisting in manning promotion booths and promoting Hong Kong at Brand Hong Kong-supported event venues.
Terms of Appointment:
The successful applicant for the post will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for one year. Subject to the exigency of services, the appointee may be required to work irregular hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of the Department and the performance of the candidates.
Fringe Benefits
Upon satisfactory completion of the contract period with consistently satisfactory standard of performance and conduct throughout the contract period, the appointee will be granted a gratuity for the period of service. Such gratuity plus any contribution by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund scheme (MPF) in respect of the appointee required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15 per cent of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Rest days, statutory holidays, annual leave, maternity leave or paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be no less favourable than the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
General Notes:
(a) Candidates must be Permanent Residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

In these circumstances, only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend the written test/ interview organised by the Information Services Department.
(f) It is the Government policy to place people with disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a candidate with a disability meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the written test and interview without being subject to any further shortlisting criteria. Applicants who have declared disabilities found suitable for appointment may be given an appropriate degree of preference over other applicants whose suitability for appointment is considered comparable to that of the former. (g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcript(s) and certificates during the interview stage.
