Job Title: Senior Manager (Hong Kong Talent Engage) Talent Engagement – Mainland China 
Salary: HK$98,810 per month 
Entry Requirements: Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) at the time of appointment and should possess –

(a) a Bachelor’s degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
(b) a minimum of 20 years' full-time post-qualifications work experience, including over 10 years of work experience in event/project planning and management, client relationship building and business development and at least 5 years of work experience at managerial level in private and/or public sectors;
(c) proven track record of hands-on collaborative experience in dealing with different parties in the government and business sectors, and providing excellent customer services to stakeholders; experience in collaborating with stakeholders in Mainland China is preferable;
(d) excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
(e) excellent understanding of government affairs especially on engaging talents; and
(f) proficiency in the application of common business software (including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as Chinese and English word processing. 
Note: Other Job-related Requirements:
The hours and venues of work may be varied having regard to the operational needs of the Bureau. The successful candidate may be required to (a) work irregular hours, perform on-call / standby duties and work overtime, including evenings, weekends and public holidays; and (b) work outdoors occasionally. 
Duties: (a) to develop and execute comprehensive engagement strategies specific to Mainland China and independently identify and engage talents in the region, aligning their skills and aspirations with HKTE’s mission and strategy;
(b) to cultivate and nurture strong relationships with influential figures, government officials and business leaders in Mainland China to further HKTE’s objectives;
(c) to facilitate cross-border initiatives and projects between Hong Kong and Mainland China, promoting collaboration in talent development, innovation and economic partnerships;
(d) to proactively collaborate with Hong Kong Economics and Trade Offices in Mainland China as well as relevant government bureaux / departments in devising and implementing talent attraction and engagement strategies;
(e) to provide effective guidance and supervision to the team of professionals underpinned to optimise team performance and leverage their collective expertise to achieve optimal outcomes;
(f) to collaborate with internal teams within HKTE to leverage synergies to enhance the overall impact and effectiveness of the office’s talent engagement and support strategies and foster a proactive and energetic working environment; and
(g) to perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers. 
Terms of Appointment: The successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for two years. Renewal of contract will be subject to the discretion of the Government. 
Fringe Benefits 14 days paid annual leave will be granted to the successful candidate. The eligibility for rest days, statutory holidays (or substitute holidays), maternity / paternity leave and sickness allowance, where appropriate, is in line with those provided for under the Employment Ordinance. A gratuity may be granted at the end of the contract period if the appointee has satisfactorily completed the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 15% of the total basic salary received during the contract period.
