Job Title: Summer Intern (Hong Kong Public Libraries) – Post-Secondary Student Summer Internship Programme 2024 
Salary: $11,200 per month 
Entry Requirements: Applicants should
1. be permanent resident of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region enrolled in full-time accredited courses in post-secondary institutions in Hong Kong or overseas; and
2. enter their final year of undergraduate programme after the summer of 2024 (final year students will not be considered). 
Duties: Vacancies of Summer Intern in the following disciplines are available:
(A) Computer Science
(B) Chinese Language and Literature/Humanities/History
(C) Languages/Translation/Literature/History/Social Sciences
(D) Music
(E) Arts (excluding Graphic Design and Music)
(F) Fine Arts / Design
(G) Education/Marketing/Event Management/Social Science

Terms of Appointment: Successful candidates are normally required to work 44 hours per week (including meal breaks) and may also be required to work outside normal office hours, during weekends and / or public holidays. Overtime work, where necessary, will be compensated by time-off in lieu. 
General Notes: (a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. Each applicant should apply for a vacancy in one discipline only. Applications for the vacancies in more than one discipline will NOT be considered. If there are a large number of applications, applicants will be invited for interview only if their applications have been successfully drawn by the computer and they meet the entry requirements. Applicants who are not invited to an interview by 30 June 2024 may assume that their applications are unsuccessful. Information on unsuccessful applicants will normally be destroyed 24 months after rejection of the applicants’ applications.
