Job Title: Part-time Usher 
Salary: HK$ 57/hour 
Entry Requirements: (a) Completion of Secondary 5 or equivalent;
(b) Minimum two years’ full-time post-qualification working experience;
(c) Able to read and write Chinese and English; fluent in Cantonese and English; have knowledge in Putonghua; and
(d) Applicants with ushering or relevant experience, or able to work during daytime of weekdays may have an advantage. 
Note: (1) Work in irregular hours from Mondays to Sundays including public holidays (Applicants who are able to work during daytime of weekdays may have an advantage);
(2) The working hours depend on the programmes. May need to work till midnight. A minimum of 3 hours per session on an on-call basis; and
(3) Wearing uniforms is a must. 
Duties: To perform ticket inspection, house programmes/pamphlet distribution, ushering, crowd control etc. Details to be arranged by venue management at LCSD's designated venue(s). Need to work under stage music effect and illumination (usually in dim lighting), climb stepped aisles, walk and stand for extended periods of time. Communicate with patrons, guide and direct patrons to their seats and assist in enforcing venue's house regulations. 
Terms of Appointment: Successful applicants will be appointed on Non-civil Service Contract Terms for 12 months. 
General Notes: (1) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(7) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
